The GOO was developed in collaboration with Nels Cline, who’s best known as Wilco’s guitar hero. He wanted a pedal that combined the best characteristics of all his favorite stompboxes. It’s basically a high gain pedal that boasts sustain and the dynamic response of a tube amp.

The artwork and colors represent the jelly monster from the 1958 movie “The Blob”, and the glow-in-the-dark knobs do a great job of incorporating the sci-fi element. It ships in custom packaging inspired by Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.

The pedal really does look stunning. I would buy one just for the eye candy. However, based on the video demo I’m not too sure if the sound has won me over (yet).
ToneConepts have one other signature pedal called The Luke, developed in collaboration with session legend Steve Lukather.
